Maureen Kurp
Maureen Kurp served in Aglow International Ministries for over 20 years in several capacities, including worship leader, president of Murrysville Aglow as well as Vice President of Leadership Development on the Southwest PA Area Aglow Board. In February, 2008, she had a life-changing encounter with the heart of God which led her to UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Maureen became a volunteer in the Spiritual Care department where she had the opportunity to visit and pray with patients. In addition, she became involved in a new program at UPMC Mercy called “No One Dies Alone” where she served as the vigil coordinator until April 2018. In addition, Maureen established a chapel prayer team which would meet weekly and serving patients as well as employees through personal prayer ministry in the Holy Family Chapel located on the hospital’s first floor. After facilitating community bible studies over a span of 20 years, Maureen established “New Beginnings”, a Christian community outreach for women of all denominations and backgrounds. Most recently, Maureen and other intercessors (Faith Impact Group) gather together each month to pray over the 7 mountains of influence – government, business, media, arts/entertainment, education, religion and family.
Maureen had the privilege of participating in mission trips to Brazil and Israel. She looks forward to going to the nations again as the Lord leads!
Maureen’s passion is to motivate the body of Christ to move outside the walls that the Kingdom of God be advanced and established here on earth as it is in heaven! Her favorite scripture verse, among many, is Acts 17:28 “It is through Him that we live and function and have our identity…” (The Passion Translation) Maureen resides in North Huntingdon, PA with her husband, Bob. They have 3 adult children, Lauren, Justin (daughter-in-law, Bethany), and Maura.
